Receipt & Ordering Infrastructure

IGNITE

Receipt and ordering infrastructure for applications. Know what happened and in what order, without reconstructing logs from multiple systems.

What Is IGNITE?

IGNITE is a service that produces receipts and ordering for events so applications can know what happened and in what order.

Produces Receipts

Cryptographic proofs that events happened, tied to source records and objects.

Orders Receipts

Maintains verifiable event sequences so applications know what happened in order.

Enables Verification

Receipts can be independently verified without trusting any single system.

Portable Proofs

Proofs usable across systems, organizations, and environments.

IGNITE does not replace:

✕Databases
✕Application Logic
✕Workflow Engines
✕APIs
✕Messaging Systems

IGNITE provides receipts and ordering that applications use. Applications still define objects, manage state, and execute logic.

How Receipts Work

From source records to verifiable decisions. A clear pipeline for event tracking and verification.

Step 1: Source Records

Documents, messages, measurements, approvals, API calls, sensor data: the real inputs that define or change objects.

Step 2: Events

Something happens to an object based on a source record. Applications define what constitutes an event.

Step 3: Receipts

Cryptographic proofs backed by per-transaction Merkle proofs and block roots. Tamper-evident, independently verifiable.

Step 4: Ordered Receipts

The verifiable sequence of events for an object. Applications assemble these to understand what happened over time.

Independent Verification

Anyone with the receipt, Merkle proof, and block root can independently verify that the event was recorded, the receipt has not been altered, and the receipt is part of the ordered sequence, without access to the original database, application, or network.

IGNITE vs Blockchains & Smart Contracts

Blockchains execute logic and store state. IGNITE produces receipts and ordering. Different roles, different infrastructure.

Key Differences

Feature IGNITE Smart Contracts / Blockchains
Logic execution Runs in applications Runs on-chain
State storage Stored in applications Stored on-chain
Language required No contract language Smart contract language
Environment Any environment Chain-specific
Fee model Fixed fee per receipt Gas varies by computation
Portability Cross-environment Chain-specific
Behavior Applications define behavior Contracts define behavior
Focus Receipts & ordering Execution & state

For Developers

We provide receipts and ordering. You build the application.

You Build

  • Define objects
  • Define events
  • Manage source records
  • Assemble ordered receipts
  • Build workflows and logic
  • Update state
  • Make decisions
  • Build APIs and automation

IGNITE Provides

  • Receipt generation
  • Receipt ordering
  • Verification
  • Portable receipts
  • Cross-system receipts
  • Cross-environment receipts

What You Don't Need to Build

  • Event ordering systems
  • Audit trail systems
  • Reconciliation systems
  • Timeline reconstruction tools
  • Cross-system verification tools
  • Proof infrastructure

Architecture Stack

  • Applications: Objects, source records, events, logic
  • IGNITE: Receipts, ordering, verification
  • Storage: Databases, blockchains, files
  • Infrastructure: Compute, network, cloud

When to Use IGNITE

Use IGNITE when applications need to know what happened to an object and in what order, and that must be verifiable.

Cross-System Workflows

Track objects across multiple systems with verifiable receipts instead of reconciling separate logs.

Multi-Party Coordination

Multiple organizations share verifiable receipts instead of maintaining separate records.

Automation & Agents

Machine-readable ordered receipts enable deterministic workflows and agent-based decisions.

Event Order Matters

When decisions depend on knowing what happened first, and proving it.

Verifiable History

Events must be provable later for audits, compliance, or dispute resolution.

Cross-Environment

Objects move across environments. Receipts follow them and remain verifiable everywhere.

Simple rule: If events only need to be stored, use a database. If events need to be recorded, use logs. If events must be ordered and provable, use receipts.

Pricing & Fees

Fixed fee per receipt. Predictable costs. No gas surprises.

Fixed Per Receipt

Predictable, not tied to computation or contract execution.

Reduces Costs

Shared receipts reduce reconciliation, audits, disputes, and coordination costs.

Flexible Business Model

Bundle fees into subscriptions, usage pricing, enterprise plans, or SaaS products.

Smart Contract Fees vs IGNITE Fees

Smart Contracts

  • • Gas varies by computation
  • • Fees tied to contract execution
  • • Costs change with complexity

IGNITE

  • • Fixed fee per receipt
  • • Predictable and plannable
  • • Not tied to computation

IGNITE charges for receipts. Developers charge for applications built on receipts. Customers pay for applications and services, not for the infrastructure directly.
